This Mincemeat Affogato is a simple yet indulgent Christmas treat that combines creamy vanilla ice cream swirled with festive mincemeat and a shot of hot Camp. As the rich coffee is poured over, the ice cream melts into a deliciously spiced, boozy-sweet dessert that’s ready in minutes. Perfect as an effortless dinner party finale, it can be made even more indulgent with a splash of sherry or amaretto and served alongside biscotti for a truly festive flourish.

Ingredients

  • 200g vanilla ice cream

  • 3 tbsp mincemeat

  • 1½ tbsp Camp Chicory & Coffee Essence

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the ice cream with the mincemeat and place back in the freezer to freeze for 15-20 minutes or until required.

 

Step 2

Using an ice cream scoop, divide the ice cream evenly between 2 small glasses or bowls. Mix the Camp with 200ml boiling water and pour over the ice cream, serve immediately, stirring the ice cream so it begins to melt a little.

  

Cooks tip!

Try adding 1 tbsp sherry or amaretto for an alcoholic version. Great served with biscotti.
